1.Compare and contrast the Loving Kindness exercise and the Subtle mind exercise. Explain your experience including the benefits, frustrations etc. They both was somewhat similiar but you can't have one without the other which is a subtle mind first before acquiring the loving kindness. I have a busy mind and it's hard to stay focus, it takes a lot of practice to get that good attention span that I need. But on the other hand the cd and both exercise can be relaxing and very enjoyable if I can just stay focus and acquire that calmness and stillness.
2. Discuss the connection of the spiritual wellness to mental and physical wellness. Explain how the connection is manifested in your personal life. I still have a lot of work to do on myself to be where I want to be mentally and physically in mind and body before I can feel that spiritually. I need more mental and physical workout in order to improved my spiritual workout.
Hello!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got to enjoy the experience!I have a busy mind as well. I know exactly what you mean when you say it was hard to stay focused. I had to repeat the first exercise. When I tried the second one it only played for the first few minutes, then all I heard was white noise.
Ms. Banks,
ReplyDeleteI feel that I got more from this experience then the loving kindness one. I intend to continue with both as I need to develop the loving kindness area much more in my life. It helped me to focus on my chest rising with this exercise. That helped me come back to a visual each time that my mind wondered and that was a lot. My CD only worked the first 6 minutes and then it went fuzzy so I did not get the full benefit of the exercise. I am with you I need more mental and physical workouts. I am going to start working out again in the morning and try to incorporate my meditation into my workouts so that I get both benefits at the same time. Do you have a plan to get to your goals of mental and physical well being? Have a great week
Hi Shawna,I am happy that we all have something to work on, I know that together we will intentionally practice the subtle mind exercise, with the knowledge that we expand our capacities of loving-kindness, gratitude, and forgiveness one thought at a time.
